Nestled in the vibrant Georgetown district of Washington DC, this salon is located within a historic rowhouse that has stood for a over a century sharing its charm with neighboring establishments.
The vision was to create a refined, upscale minimalist environment featuring four braiding stations. The design needed to cater to clients who could spend up to eight hours receiving services, necessitating a setting that exuded comfort, warmth, and sophistication.
Starting with a blank slate characterized by pristine white walls, stark black trim, and preserved elements like the original painted brick wall, arched fireplace, narrow single pane windows and hardwood floors, we embarked on a transformation. The introduction of a sophisticated layered lighting scheme, striking yellow and gold accents, plush textures, and understated organic patterns complementing the natural wood finishes infused the salon with an inviting and chic atmosphere.
Below are a few select examples from the full suite of Construction Documents prepared for every project.
