Space Planning
Effective space planning is at the heart of our design philosophy. We carefully analyze each space to optimize its layout, ensuring that it meets the functional needs of the occupants while maintaining a seamless flow and aesthetic appeal. Our space planning services take into account the latest in ergonomics and accessibility standards, ensuring comfort and safety for all users.
Color Schemes
Color is a powerful tool in design, capable of transforming the mood and perception of a space. We carefully select color palettes that complement the overall design concept and evoke the desired emotions. Whether it's a calming neutral scheme for a spa-like retreat or bold, vibrant hues for a dynamic workspace, our color choices enhance the overall ambiance.

Fixtures
Fixtures play a crucial role in both the functionality and aesthetics of a space. Our team selects high-quality fixtures that align with the design vision and meet the practical needs of the space. From lighting fixtures to plumbing hardware, we ensure that each piece is both stylish and functional.

Furniture
Furniture is more than just a functional element; it is a key component of the overall design. We source and select furniture that complements the design style and meets the comfort needs of the occupants. Our selections may include custom-designed pieces, as well as mid-to high-quality items from trusted manufacturers.

Finishes
The selection of finishes can dramatically influence the look and feel of a space. We curate a wide range of finishes, from luxurious materials like marble and hardwood to innovative options like sustainable composites and recycled materials. Our choices reflect the latest trends and technologies, ensuring that our designs are both timeless and contemporary.

Accessories
Decorative accessories add the finishing touches to a space, bringing personality and character. We curate a selection of accessories that enhance the design concept, from artwork and sculptures to textiles and plants. These elements add depth and interest, making each space truly unique.

Health + Safety Regulations
We prioritize the health and safety of our clients by adhering to stringent regulations and standards. Our designs incorporate elements that promote well-being, such as proper ventilation, natural light, and the use of non-toxic materials. In conjunction with allied professionals, we ensure that all our projects comply with local building codes and safety requirements, providing peace of mind to our clients.

Mechanical Systems
Our expertise extends to the integration of mechanical and electrical systems within our designs. We coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure that heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems are seamlessly incorporated into the overall design. This holistic approach ensures that all technical aspects are addressed without compromising on aesthetics.

Designer Notes
Interior design notes offer clarity and precision, ensuring each detail is clearly outlined. They are intended for both clients and contractors as a reference for design concept accuracy and vision.

Ergonomics
Understanding the importance of ergonomics in both residential and commercial settings, we design spaces that promote comfort and efficiency. Our ergonomic designs reduce strain and fatigue, contributing to overall well-being. Whether it’s adjustable furniture, optimal lighting, or thoughtfully placed storage, we ensure that every element supports a healthy and productive lifestyle.

Site Visits
These visits serve several key purposes:

-
Confirm Design Details
Even with detailed plans, real-world conditions can shift. Site visits allow us to verify placement of lighting, outlets, plumbing fixtures, and built-ins to ensure they align with the intended use and aesthetic of each space.
-
Troubleshoot On the Spot
Unexpected challenges often arise during construction—whether it’s a framing adjustment, a delivery delay, or a material mismatch. Being on-site allows us to make quick, informed decisions that keep the project moving smoothly.
-
Collaborate with Trades
We coordinate directly with contractors, electricians, plumbers, and installers to clarify drawings, confirm measurements, and ensure that finishes and fixtures are installed correctly.
-
Verify Materials and Installations
We confirm that materials are being used as specified and that installation meets both functional and aesthetic standards.
-
Maintain Design Integrity
A site visit is a chance to catch subtle misalignments, like a sconce hung too high or a grout color that doesn’t match the palette, before they become permanent. It’s about preserving the story and flow of the design.
-
Reassurance
We're here for you every step of the way, offering guidance, support, and steady hand from start to finish. Our investment goes beyond the design itself, we're equally committed to the outcome and to how you feel throughout the process and within your space once it's complete.
-
Staging
Once your project is complete, we’ll style each space with care and precision, bringing your design concept to life down to the final accessory and finishing touch. This is where your home begins to tell its story. Every detail is thoughtfully placed to ensure your space looks its absolute best - for you, for photography, and for everyone who enters.
-
Final Walkthrough and Punch List
We walk through the space together to identify any final details or deficiencies, ensuring everything is addressed before completion.

Post Project Support
Even after your project is complete, our support continues. We’ll finalize the finishing touches and remain available should you need any additional guidance or follow-up assistance.

Construction Documents
*
Thoughtfully organized, this collection of drawings provides comprehensive specifications for any level of design - from simple decorating to additions and remodels, helping you visualize the transformation and communicate your design with confidence.

2D High-Level Floor Plans
A floor plan is a scaled diagram of a space viewed from above. Walls, windows, doors, stairs, and fixed installations such as bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinetry, and appliances are featured. Each space is labeled and includes dimensions and suggested placement of furniture. Mechanical system locations as well as references to other drawings may also be included.

Limited Lighting Plans
This scaled, top-view plan layered with a floor plan shows suggested locations of fixtures, switches, and outlets. Lighting fixture specifications are also included. Lighting contributes to a room’s aesthetics by highlight architectural elements, accentuating textures, and creating focal points. Thoughtful placement of fixtures complements the overall design, and more importantly, positively impacts our emotions and well-being. Having well-designed lighting plan ensures the right ambiance for each space.

Sectional and Detailed Carpentry Drawings
A sectional/detailed carpentry drawing provides a view of an object as if it has been sliced in half or cut along an imaginary plane. This unique perspective reveals spatial relationships and details that are typically hidden in other views. When designing custom furniture, built-in features or millwork, these drawings play a crucial role in illustrating how different materials come together within the design. They are also useful in viewing several spaces and describe materials, joinery, hardware, and finishes.

Elevation Drawings
An elevation drawing is a scaled vertical drawing as seen from the side showing how various design elements interact vertically. They focus on specific walls, highlighting features such as doors, windows, fixtures, finishes, and architectural elements. Wall and ceiling height, as well as material details, patterns, and alignments are also featured. References to built-in features or millwork may also be included.

Window and Door Schedules
Window, door, and interior finish schedules are systematic tables outlining essential information. They serve as a critical communication tool during both the design process and construction describing the type, size, features, manufacturer, and additional details about use or installation. References are located on the 2D High-level floor plan.

Semi-Realistic 3D Models
These model can be a powerful tool for helping you visualize and connect with your interior design project - especially in the early stages.

Reflected Ceiling Plans
A Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) is a drawing that shows the layout of a ceiling as if it were reflected onto the floor - essentially a top-down view of the ceiling. It is used to communicate the design and placement of ceiling-mounted elements such as:

-
Architectural detailing
-
Light fixtures
-
HVAC diffusers and vents
-
Sprinklers and smoke detectors
-
Ceiling fans
-
Exit signs
-
Moldings or beams
-
Ceiling materials and finishes.

Unlike a standard floor plan, which looks down at the floor, a RCP looks up at the ceiling but is drawn as if viewed from above. This “mirror” perspective helps contractors coordinate installations and ensure that all ceiling elements are properly aligned and integrated.

*The Construction Documents we provide are conceptual only and are not suitable for use as building plans. We strongly urge you to involve your builder in the process, ideally after we’ve completed the initial set of plans. The plans we will produce for you are intended for you to present to your builder to show him or her in reasonable detail what you intend to have done. Your builder will be able to provide you with cost estimates for implementing your plans – something that we cannot do. Since building cost, as well as aesthetics, will likely impact your final decisions, we strongly encourage your builder’s involvement.
