Artful Escape

We were invited to design a creative sanctuary - a light-filled retreat where imagination flows, handcrafted pieces take center stage, and family connection is woven into the experience.

The first completed space is a serene lounge that celebrates the personal artistry of both our client and her husband. It features an antique settee she reupholstered in rich blue velvet, a curated display of her pottery, and handcrafted wooden frames he built to showcase their family photos. She also asked us to thoughtfully incorporate her cherished record collection and the musical instruments she and her family actively play.

The second space (coming soon) is a makerspace dream: a sunlit studio adjascent to the lounge, tucked behind French doors and windows, designed for uninterrupted creative flow and surrounded by her favorite tools and materials.

To elevate her eclectic antique-meets-modern glam aesthetic, we layered soft greens with deep-hued, avian-inspired prints and a refined mix of brushed metals. Finishing touches include a statement chandelier and a board-and-batten wall treatment lined with wooden half-round bead molding. The result is a soulful, multifunctional environment that invites both creativity and connection.
